Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

An SDS is a document that explains the hazards, handling, storage, first aid, and disposal methods for a chemical.

Every site must have:

• An up-to-date SDS for each chemical used

• SDSs available in the cleaners’ room (printed or digital)

Before using a chemical:

• Read the SDS

• Note the PPE required

• Follow all handling instructions
